Baba the Storyteller, whether performing as a soloist, or leading an ensemble of musicians, dancers and other artist, offers a full range of concerts, shows and programs adaptable to most venues and events. Two main stage productions currently available for presentation: “Griot” & “Serenading the Spirit” have set new standards for cultural theatrical productions and folkloric performances. Baba’s magical ability to subtlety impart valuable historical and cultural information while warmly/humorously engaging his audiences has endeared him to broad demographic of individuals, families, and presenters alike.

Besides staged theatrical productions, Baba also offers assembly programs and workshops to museums, schools (primary/middle/secondary) and libraries as well as lecture/presentations to colleges & universities. Having performed at, literally, thousands of venues, Baba’s interpersonal performance skills are adaptable to everything from the smaller, more intimate setting to large auditoriums and everything in between.

During the holidays Baba presents and performs a program designed to expose a greater number of people to the richness of the African-American Cultural Celebration of Kwanzaa.

A gifted harpist, Baba’s workshops on the Kora (ancient 21-string West African Harp) have been supported and/or funded by such organizations as the National Endowment for the Arts, The Public Corporation for the Arts, California Arts Council, The City of Los Angeles Cultural Affairs Department and many others. Baba also offers individual and group Kora instruction to those who desire to venture beyond cultural boundaries.
